Rebecca is both an Osteopath and Clinical Nutritionist with over 10years experience who has completed further professional development and courses in women’s health and fertility support. Rebecca utilises nutritional compounding, supplements, diet, lifestyle advice and osteopathy to help those with chronic pelvic pain, hormonal imbalances, hypothalamic amenorrhoea, pre-conception, pregnancy and post-partum. Rebecca also sees couples struggling with fertility concerns and works to optimise chances of conception either naturally or in conjunction with a fertility specialist to provide care throughout IVF treatment.
Rebecca also offers individual nutrition plans for female athletes centred around their menstrual cycle to optimise performance and recovery. As a part of this service, Rebecca works closely with your coach to ensure the training plan is appropriate for the individual, the menstrual phase and ensures that nutrition supports the physical and mental demands. This area is a passion for Rebecca as many female athletes will lose their menstrual cycle and this is deemed ‘normal’ or insignificant. Hypothalamic amenorrhoea whilst common is not normal and you are not functioning at an optimal level. Rebecca has a personal background in triathlon and distance running at a competitive level and understands the demands of being an athlete. Remember if you exercise on purpose you are an athlete.
Rebecca brings a compassionate and empathetic approach to treatment and works with you to customise a realistic and achievable plan. When not in clinic Rebecca is either lecturing at Endeavour College or volunteering for Women’s Health Queensland and QENDO working to support women with endometriosis, adenomyosis and infertility. Otherwise, she will be at the beach with the family and Walter the dog. Read more about Rebecca on her website freyahealth.com.au
