I have recently graduated with a bachelor in health science in western herbal medicine from Torrens University.
As a new graduate, my passion for herbal medicine started a decade ago with my own fertility journey. When I found herbal medicine and Māori traditional healing practices, it opened a door to whole new world, and the barriers disappeared. This inspired me to start studying, leading to a deeper understanding and my wish to share my knowledge with others. To help them to remove health barriers and achieve their health goals too.
Each herb has its own intricate story to share, when we take the time to understand them, we can see the true evidence-based magic that they bring. By working together with them, we can use this to make profound changes in people’s lives. Seeing people come back who have experienced these changes is truly one of the best feelings I’ve ever experienced.
While my favourite area to help with is the nervous system, to help alleviate the impacts stress and anxiety can have on the body. My passion is fostering greater understanding of the benefits herbs can bring to almost any situation.
I have always been the person who asks, “but why?”, finding the why behind the symptoms is my favourite thing to do. When we can find the why, the herbs really work their magic in not just addressing symptoms but supporting the body’s natural ability to restore balance and resilience.
